DANGERKIDS Celebrate Release of BLACKLIST_ with MASSIVE Shows at New York City's Hammerstein Bal
DANGERKIDS released their very successful, groundbreaking debut album, Collapse back in 2013 — now in 2017 the band has released the highly anticipated album, BLACKLIST_. DANGERKIDS celebrated the release of their second full length studio album, BLACKLIST_with two massive shows on The End Is Here Tour; One on release day on January 27th in New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom and the other being at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on January 28th. Blacklist_ launched onto the iTunes charts almost right away after its release showing their fans dedication and anticipation to finally get their hands on this incredible new Dangerkids album.
Commanding and grasping the attention of all fans in attendance as they hit the stage with the first single released off their new album, BLACKLIST_ called "Things Could Be Different" which jumpstarted the crowd into a sea of ecstatic fans singing along. Their set began very dramatically, as electronics pounding under the lo-fi vocals before the powerful guitar and bass punches kick in to bring the "Things Could Be Different" to its powerful first verse that had fans off their feet immediately. Their infectiously catchy unique sound has something for all fans to love and it's so powerful, you just cannot resist dancing/singing along even if it was your first time seeing them. The crowd went beyond insane during their newest single "Kill Everything" with everyone's fists pumping, metal signs raging and crowd surfer pouring over the barricade. "Kill Everything" has already been getting flooded onto Sirius XM’s Octane Radio, which only proves this song is extraordinary. Being they are unfortunately not the headliner of this tour, their set was short being only about 25 minutes long, but that 25 minutes was so impactful, it leaves the fans craving more. One of the most notable must be mentioned things about Dangerkids is once you hear them, you immediately become addicted.
As a long time follower of Dangerkids, it was clear both of these night how much the band has truly grown together, they were very confident, tight, and fun-to-watch. The rapping of Tyler Smyth and screams of Andy Bane pleasantly combining with each other, which the crowd certainly enjoyed. During the show Tyler and Andy were constantly bouncing about the stage while interacting with fans, while their incredible SJC drummer Katie Cole was grinning from ear to ear whilst all you see of her is a blur of arms and wildly head banging blonde hair. Jake Bonham on bass and Alex Asch on lead guitar shredding through the set. Dangerkids live show is very compelling showing their dedication, allowing their powerful lyrics to be heard, and their talents to shine all within a brief 25 minute flawless performance. Their infectiously catchy sound leaves the crowd begging for more and will definitley be returning for any future Dangerkids shows as they loved them so much they had a screaming crowd as the left the stage both nights.
