BLINK-182 and A DAY TO REMEMBER set fire to the Sold Out BB&T Pavilion

Blink-182 brought their sold out summer amphitheater/arena tour to Camden, New Jersey's BB&T Pavilion on August 12th, 2016 with A Day To Remember, All Time Low, and DJ Spider. This tour definitley being one of the most anticipated tours of the summer with an incredible lineup of the scenes best headlining acts combined together for an extraordinary sold out tour package. Launching the 100+ degree evening was All Time Low, this was the first tour stop with All Time Low opening up the show as The All American Reject were opening the first half of the tour. All Time Low launching into hit "Lost In Stereo," immediately igniting the crowds energy. Including new song from their latest album Future Hearts like "Kids In The Dark," "Something's Gotta Give," and latest fan favorite single "Missing You." Moving through their set rather quickly as they joked with each other and had Bra's and even a pair of boxer briefs thrown at them on stage during their brief but fulfilling 7-song set. Ending with 2 of their biggest hits "Weightless," and "Dear Maria, Count Me In."

A Day To Remember opening their unfortunately short set (due to them being direct support and not headlining) with “Downfall of Us All.” Although during A Day To Remember's entire set the crowd roared as if they were the headliners of this tour. However, A Day To Remember is no stranger to putting on an incredible show for huge sold out crowds; bringing their own full stage setup, complete with beach balls, toilet paper, t-shirt cannons, and confetti as they charged through a 45-minute set full of all the fans favorite ADTR songs including "Paranoia," the first single off their album, Bad Vibrations coming out September 2nd. Throughout ADTR's set, Frontman Jeremy Mckinnon demands the crowds attention with his mind-blowing skill of handling screams and cleans on each track. His voice led the explosive breakdowns and controlled the circle pits from the pit to the lawn, actually the entire venue was moving not one person was standing still and everyone singing along. The energy during their set was next level, even the band including Joshua Woodard, Kevin Skaff, Neil Westfall, and Alex Shelnutt, bring energy constantly moving on stage and interacting with fans. ADTR's set was energy driven, aggressive, fierce, and a sweat drenched party. Closing out their 11-song set with a fan favorite and huge hit "The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle." Their set also including hits like "2nd Sucks," "All I Want," "Have Faith In Me," and "If It Means A lot To You." With A Day to Remember’s latest album Bad Vibrations due out this September, hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to have them come back to town to headline their own show soon.

For nearly three decades, Blink-182 has molded and shaped the punk rock music scene. From 1999's Enema of the State to their most recent release of, California (which debuted at #1 on Billboard). Blink-182 continuously proves that they have all the qualities needed to be at the top of the charts and one of the most talked about punk rock bands still to date, and the concert at BB&T Pavilion this past weekend was no exception. Launching into the show as a black curtain fell to revealed Blink-182 on the stage with the word FUCK flaming in the background. Blink-182 being a 3 piece band consisting of: Mark Hoppus, the drummer machine himself; Travis Barker, and the latest addition to blink-182 frontman, Matt Skiba. Blink-182 started out trying to keep things stable and energy filled, ripping through a few huge hits immediately including: Feeling This, Family Reunion, What’s My Age Again? and The Rock Show, all played within the first four songs (of a 24-song setlist), a blink-182 setlist standard for many years. Blink was noticeably flawless, energetic, and faster than ever before, with older songs like “Stay Together For The Kids” and “First Date” benefiting from this new keen, more high spirited, very energetic and happier version of the band. This even helped ignite the fans during their new songs like "Bored To Death," and "Kings Of The Weekend," off their latest album, California; Making them stick out more during their set. “This is definitely the most intimately sweaty, steam-bathy, grotesque exchange of sweat on sweat bodies since my wedding night” Mark Hoppus added between songs and he was not lying as sweat was pouring off every fan in attendance as it was approximately 102 degrees with humidity but that wasn't stopping fans from going crazy for the return of blink-182 at Camden's BB&T Pavilion. A Few highlights of their set was definitley hearing more new material in the set including "San Diego," and "Bored To Death," as well as their shorter typical blink songs like "Built This Pool," and "Brohemian Rhapsody." Another standout moment for me was during their 4-song encore; Their new song "Los Angeles" was a huge banger live, it allows blink's energy to shine; giving Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Matt Skiba a time to show their additive qualities to the band and their music. Also including their production on this run with a lot of beautiful lights, an LCD screen filling the entire length of the stage's backdrop, pyrotechnics, and even fireworks. Ending their set with a fan favorite song "Dammit" as confetti showered everyone in attendance. Much of Blink 182’s set showed them off as a more solid, stronger, extraordinary, more polished band than ever before. Definitley get out to see this tour of the summer if it makes a stop near your city, even if it means traveling a few hours to see, it is definitely worth the drive and gas.
