twenty one pilots’ 'BLURRYFACE' Just Went Platinum
Twenty One Pilots have hit a new career milestone with their album, BLURRYFACE. As Billboard reports (via Nielsen Music), Twenty One Pilots’ album Blurryface has made over one million in sales — this is their first album to do so. Last week, Blurryface sold 13,000 copies which carried album sales to 1.005 million. Released on May 17, 2015, Blurryface debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and since then has yet to drop below the Top 40. Currently, the album sits at No. 3 on the chart.
Twenty One Pilots are currently on a massive arena tour across the United States that ends with a show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. After that, the duo embark on another huge world tour from the end of 2016 through to 2017, where in the fall they travel through Europe and return the U.S. and then hit Australia.
