BOYS LIKE GIRLS ANNOUNCE SELF-TITLED 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR AND SPECIAL EDITION VINYL

In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of their first record, Boys Like Girls will be playing their fan-favorite self-titled debut album in its entirety from front to back this August in select cities. The band will be releasing, via Field Day Records, the first ever vinyl pressing of the eponymous record.

The album, which yielded 3 hits at Top 40 radio, was originally released on August 22nd, 2006, and gave rise to the band's multi-platinum career. Included on the record were the singles "The Great Escape," which catapulted the band into the mainstream (RIAA-certified Platinum, Top 10 at Top 40 radio, #1 on then-cultural-scoreboard Total Request Live, etc); "Hero/Heroine," the nostalgia-tinged second single which was certified Gold by the RIAA; and "Thunder," also an RIAA Gold single.

The band will be performing the album in its entirety this August in Boston, New York, Sayreville NJ, Philadelphia, Columbus OH, and Chicago. The Field Day Records special edition vinyl is a limited pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies on tri-color vinyl (translucent red, lime green, and teal). The packaging will also include a collage of the band member's personal photos from the self-titled era.

Ticket pre-sale for the tour begins today, Tuesday 5/10, at 12PM EST, along with the special edition vinyl on-sale via Field Day Records. General on-sale tickets are available Friday 5/13 at 12pm local time. Tickets and vinyl available at www.boyslikegirls.com
