BRYAN ADAMS commands The Philadelphia Fillmore's nearly sold out crowd to GET UP
Canadian Rocker & Grammy Award Winning, Bryan Adams’ Filled the Fillmore to near capacity on February 15th, on a snowy wet night igniting the energy packed inside of several hundred fans filling the Fillmore showing Bryan Adams is still kicking ass in the music industry decades later. Giving fans exactly what they wanted a mix of his classic hits as well as new material off his thirteenth studio album released in 2015, GET UP; which the setlist was a perfect blend of.
Bryan Adams, dressed in all black suit, with a white shirt beneath his suit jacket opened the concert with “Do What Ya Gotta Do,” a song off his latest release, GET UP; Exploding onto the stage illuminated very brightly making him shine even more.
For the next two hours, backed by an incredible LED projection screen that showed Images of Adams live, vintage performance footage, music videos, audience shots and abstract images. Adams and his band staying faithful to the original versions of the songs, with no experimenting or updating the sound. It was was just as good if not even better then it would've been when these songs were released in the 80’s.

Anyways I haven’t played in Philly in about 2 years but it is great to be back.” Then going into “Go Down Rockin’” after stating that he “Just put out a new album titled Get Up about a year ago and that he will be mixing in some of that new material every now and again in the set.
Adams then performing everyones favorite radio anthem’s “Heaven,” The entire crowd clapping for “This Time,” then the first single off his latest album Get Up titled “You Belong To Me,” and then “Summer Of 69’” where he began strumming the first few chords to the song and the crowd immediately began serenading Bryan with the first few lyrics before Bryan joined in and the crowd continued to sing so loud you could barely hear Bryan’s voice. A standing ovation thanked Bryan for the incredible performance of “Summer Of 69’” The crowds response to all of Adams songs throughout the night was breathtaking unbelievably incredible, the crowd was singing so loud most of the night that it was more of a sing along with Bryan Adam then a concert.
Slowing it down a bit with an acoustic rendition of “When You’re Gone” which ended in yet another huge smile on Bryan’s face as the crowd screamed the lyrics back to him. Before going into a movie anthem “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” which was a slower part of the night but still filled with energy and enthusiasm. Then performing some more fast pace songs like “I’ll Always Be Right There,” “Cuts Like A Knife,” & “18 Til I Die.” Before exiting the stage after “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me If You.”
After a brief period of chanting Bryan’s name the fans began to just scream in joy and excitement awaiting Bryan and his bands arrival back to the stage where the screams only got louder. Coming back out with the band to perform “Brand New Day,” and a Eddie Cochran cover “C’mon Everybody.” The band then exiting the stage to give Bryan the full spotlight to showcase his incredible guitar and vocal talent to perform “She Knows Me,” & then showing his additional instrumental talent playing the Harmonica during “Straight From the Heart,” which featured fans holding up their phones/lighters and lighting up the place, per Bryan’s request. Ending out the night with “All For Love.” The crowd then erupting into applause as the band and Bryan exited the stage and Bryan thanked The Fillmore Philadelphia for having him!
36 years might only represent a number, but when you look at the work and art Bryan has created in that period of time. It is considered incredible and a huge milestone. Bryan Adams is a legend of his own and made a huge mark in the music industry. There aren't many artists now who are likely to have such a thriving musical career even half as long in the limelight. Music Mayhem applauds Bryan Adams for celebrating such a huge milestone by showcasing to his fans his novelty, showmanship and incredible talents and vocals in a concert that has many people waiting for his 50 year milestone as a musician. Last but definitely not least Thank you to Bryan Adams for reminding us why he became such a successful and one of the world’s most loved pop/rockstars from the 80’s through his perfect performance tonight at The Fillmore Philadelphia.
Overall, Bryan Adams is still out on the road kickin’ ass and putting on one extraordinary hit filled performance while also adding in his new anthem ready songs from his new rockin’ album, Get Up.
