GOOD CHARLOTTE has announced their return today via a short video on AltPress, Which you can check out here. Following nearly five years of media blackout, GOOD CHARLOTTE announces that they have returned! Benji and Joel Madden have decided to dust off the instruments and do what they do best… and that's to be a band again. "Good Charlotte was incredibly special to us," says Benji. "Five years ago, we shut down the website, the merch store, the entire band… That was our way of taking it back and making it ours again." With the premiere of a snippet of the brand new song, "Makeshift Love" at Altpress.com, the trademark Good Charlotte sound seems as fresh and vital as ever. And with more news coming in the near future, Good Charlotte are gearing up for what could be the rebirth of their band. "We all decided we would wait until we felt genuine about saying something to the world again," Benji continues. "Joel wasn't feeling like he could come back until he meant it, and we all agreed, we couldn’t do anything our hearts were not in." Needless to say, their hearts are full-in.
