Common Vision Tour's Intense Energy Levels Erupts The TLA
PHILADELPHIA, PA — On August 21st, 2015 at The Theatre Of The Living Arts welcomed The Common Vision Tour; Featuring Every Time I Die & Real Friends.
Tinsley Park, Illinois, Pop Punk band Real Friends took to the stage as the evening’s main support to a room full of frenzied fans to put on a pop punk filled set. Beginning their 11 song set with “Loose Ends,” “Dirty Water” and “Cover You Up”. Dan Lambton entering the stage with a Tie Dyed Wawa Hoagie Fest shirt on to impress the Philadelphia fans. Kyle Fasel on bass, Dave Knox on guitar, Brian Blake on the drums and Eric Haines on guitar. Playing right after Counterparts was definitely a bonus for them because the crowd was still hyped up and full of energy for the profuse amounts of finger pointing, sing-a-alongs, and stage diving that Real Friends brought. Lead singer Dan Lambton asked for the crowd to treat everyone like real people, don’t be so worried about what others are doing, to stop with the hate and have respect for one another. It was sincere and heartfelt and spoke to what the band is all about. Real Friends wrapped up their set with “Late Nights in My Car” and “I Don’t Love You Anymore” fully satisfying the Real Friends fans in attendance.
Buffalo, New York’s very own, Every Time I Die came exploding onto the Theatre Of The Living Arts Stage with an immense amount of vitality starting their set off with, “We’rewolf,” The crowd erupting with energy and wasting no time began to burst with chaos. Entering into “Thirst,” and “Decayin’ With The Boys”, The TLA could barely contain the intense amounts of energy that the group was pouring out and that the crowd was returning to the stage via moshing, crowd surfing, and the ear piercing screams of the lyrics being roared back at them from their loyal fans in the crowd. Andrew Williams on Guitar, Steve Micciche on Bass, & Jordan Buckley on Lead Guitar were ALL OVER the stage, jumping around, standing on the amps, and jumping from the drumkit. Jordan seeming to not be able to stop moving then jumping into the crowd whilst still playing guitar as he crowd surfed his way back to the stage. The crowd feeding right back off the bands constant energy making for a very rowdy crowd having a blast. With a relentless surge of crowd surfers flowing over the barricade non-stop during ETID and Keith promoting to keep coming there was a sea of people flooding the barricade. Keith was in fine form as their front man this night, giving the strongest vocal performance I recall hearing from him. Every Time I Die has always been known as the band that puts on one of the most intense highly energetic live shows but this show definitely won for the most chaotic show i’ve seen from them yet. I don’t know what it is with this band but they make people lose their mind when they are performing. ETID’s setlist was a good length of about 17 songs and they always seem to do a great job of mixing songs old songs off of “Hot Damn” all the way the way through to their latest album “From Parts Unknown”.
