FEATURED: Sleeping With Sirens cause MADNESS at SOLD OUT show in Philadelphia (Night Two)
PHILADELPHIA, PA — On February 15th, 2015 Sleeping with Sirens entered into The Electric Factory on The World Tour for an extraordinary Sold Out, Night Two. After a short humorous introduction video, Grand Rapids, Michigan’s own Kellin Quinn (Vocals), Jack Fowler (Lead Guitar), Justin Hills (Bass Guitar), Nick Martin (Backing Vocals/Guitar) & Gabe Barham (Drums) hit the stage with their red Kick Me backdrop to debut their new hit song “Kick Me” live released only a short while ago via Epitaph Records from their soon to be released highly anticipated album, Madness Which is out next month. The Electric Factory then shaking as the crowd overwhelming screams deafened. As the Kick Me backdrop released to unveil the white Sleeping With Sirens logo on the background as SWS went into “Congratulations” of their 2013 release of FEEL which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums & #3 on the Billboard Top 200. With their energy and crowd interaction it’s no wonder these guys have such a solid and rapidly-expanding fan base. The crowd was singing their songs, mimicking their actions and reaching across the barriers just to get closer. The band performed with such a great energy, jumping on the risers to get closer to the crowd and bouncing around the stage to such a degree that they’d sometimes bump into each other. One of the most captivating aspects of their performance was the band’s friendship on stage. The members would often play back to back, make faces towards each other, and they were obviously having a blast. Sleeping With Sirens, as a whole, showed that it’s not about quantity, it’s about quality when performing live. It was a short set for a headliner but you can’t argue with the impact it left on those in attendance. Kellin Quinn’s vocals sounded better than ever as they reached tasteful highs and powerful intensity. This world tour is the first time that they are out on the road again after quite some time, and it’s clear to see what they resting period did for their live performance quality. The fans in the crowd could be heard from miles away and complimented the meaningfulness in tracks like “A Trophy Father’s Trophy Son”. They then slowed down the pace of their hour-long set halfway through with acoustic songs like “Roger Rabbit” and their cover of “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. This gave fans a moment of pure connection with the band and their music. At times throughout their set you could barley hear Kellin’s vocals over the mindblowingly loud SWS fans screaming the lyrics right back at the band. Once they decided to pick things up again, they played more new tracks and opened up an extremely large circle pit, giving fans the opportunity to go wild as they closed with “If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn”. Even though the set seemed to be over after this song, their fans still wanted more. They cheered desperately for an encore, and Sleeping With Sirens granted their wish with their popular hit “If You Can’t Hang” at which halfway through the song they asked the crowd to take out their cell phones and light them up, and the crowd did just that making for a very intimate moment in their set. While exiting the stage Gabe Threw his drumsticks out to the crowd and the guitarists threw the remaining guitar picks before exiting the stage and it fading to black. Sleeping With Sirens is a band to look out for as they put on phenomenal shows and their unique sound makes them so different live. Look at for their new album being released next month (March 2015).
