18 year old country newcomer soon to be huge pop-country sensation, Abi Ann took to the stage singing a hit song by Nancy Sinatra titled “These Boots Are Made For Walkin,” in which she did a mind blowing cover of. Abi pretty much grasp hold of the crowd attention just as she walked out on the stage with her sparkling attire and her smile that brighten the room. Abi then going into some of her originals which most of the crowd seemed to recognize as they sang along quite loud. Abi Ann’s “Truck Candy” was a huge hit during her set and I am so confused with why this song has not yet taken control of country radio station’s.
Abi Ann is from Midland, Texas, where she learned to sing, act, and play music at a young age. Her resume is already quite lengthy and includes tours with Jesse McCartney and IM5. She has also traveled with JNFEs’ No Bully National Tour to raise awareness about bullying. This young road warrior from Texas has also been to over 40 countries. The list of awards Abi has earned is just as lengthy, including 2014’s Favorite Country Artist and Artist of the Year, across all genres, through the Indie Music Channel. She’s also an accomplished actress with appearances in movies including Someone I Used to Know, Txt, and Wish Wizard. That may be what makes her latest music video titled “Future Ex-Boyfriend” so successful. It is a great example of both her singing and acting that combine to tell an entertaining story of her “Future Ex-Boyfriend”.
Abi’s set was very entertaining and felt as if she was the nights headliner as she conquered Philadelphia with her boot kickin pop-country sound.
