CMA Awards 2015: The Complete Winners List

The first 2015 CMA Awards winners were announced early Wednesday morning. Maddie & Tae, Keith Urban and Eric Church were the first country stars to learn they’d earned hardware, winning Music Video and Vocal Event of the Year. Once the show started, Little Big Town began to clean up. The group led the way with six nominations and won their first two: Single and Song of the Year, though the songwriters of “Girl Crush” actually win for Song of the Year. Lori McKenna, Hillary Lindsey and Liz Rose accepted. Later they’d pick up the Vocal Group of the Year Award. The other big winner was Chris Stapleton, who all three awards he was nominated for. Stars went out of their way to celebrate his music, with Miranda lambert even wearing a Chris Stapleton t-shirt as she accepted her Female Vocalist of the Year award and Luke Bryan mentioning him during his Entertainer of the Year win.
